14 JANUARY 2025: Australia’s feed lotting industry is developing its next-gen with the establishment of the Future Feeders Network (FFN) Committee … and we are proud to see Tom Harrington included in the line-up.
Tom, our R&D manager, agribusiness, (below) was officially named as one of eight inaugural committee members on Friday.
The committee has been established by peak council, the Australian Lot Feeders’ Association (ALFA) to build a dynamic, inclusive network of talented young industry participants.
The FFN is tasked with delivering strategic, industry-focused activities to foster connections and collaboration.
Tom said: “The FFN aims to help the younger industry members explore career paths, develop skills and actively contribute to the future of the sector.
“While there are some challenges, it’s an honour to be included in this important initiative.”
ACC has a deep involvement in ALFA. Opal Creek’s David Bailey, GM feedlots, is an ALFA director and our group communications specialist Sue Webster is a member of ALFA’s engagement committee.
