27 MAY 2024: ACC staff shared insights into beef industry opportunities at the Brisbane Careers and Employment Expo on Friday and Saturday, offering students a glimpse of life on the land … and beyond.

They were kept busy – the Friday session at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre attracted 9000 attendees, with 4,500 guests the next day.

“It was super busy,” said ACC’s Chief People and Compliance Officer Rachel Corcoran. “Compared to last year’s event we noticed a marked increase in the number of students inquiring about agricultural science and agribusiness, and the opportunity to work in our business.

“They were impressed by the scale of ACC’s operations – we are Australia’s largest family-owned and operated paddock-to-plate beef and cattle business with close to 1.75 million hectares (4.3 million acres) across 42 Queensland properties.

“We offer careers across the entire supply chain, from outback bore runners to export sales, in the booming beef business.”
