29 MARCH 2024: ACC’s General Manager Feedlots, David Bailey and Opal Creek Feedlot Manager, Angus Lee welcomed year 12 agriculture students from Toowoomba Grammar School this week.
The 15-member group toured our feed mill operations, including the steam flakers and batching systems. They saw different cattle breeds on customised feed for the various end-markets and witnessed how ACC uses performance-enhancing technologies, including methane inhibitors.
“They were well-engaged,” said Angus. “They were asking lots of questions about nutrition, feed rations, markets and importantly, animal health and welfare.
“We were proud to show how industry is incorporating efficiency-based technology to improve sustainability and environmental outcomes.”
