29 MAY 2023: The Lee Family and Australian Country Choice LifeFlight Centre was officially opened in Roma today.
The founder, his family and the entire company agreed to be major sponsors of the new facility recognising its service as vital for ensuring the safety of our staff in rural and remote locations.
In 2022 alone, the Roma LifeFlight SGAS crew helped 78 people. The new state-of-the-art base will help the service meet the growing demand for emergency services in Queensland’s south-west and features a hangar large enough to house two x AW139 aircraft, improved crew and maintenance facilities, as well as ambulance access to the hangar and apron.
Some of ACC agri-staff donned aprons to cook up the ACC-donated meat for 200 guests at the centre opening.
