15 FEBRUARY 2024: Ben Attewell, ACC’s manager Brindley Park feedlot, (below) has been newly appointed to the important Industry Capacity Committee of the Australian Lot Feeders’ Association (ALFA).
The committee oversees activities relating to membership services, specifically career development, training and professional development. These include ALFA’s Feedlot Fundamentals eLearning modules on Feedlot TECH, the MPM Program, workshops and various awards and scholarships.
The committee had its first meeting recently and will continue to meet throughout the year to progress activities and formulate plans for future training and professional development programs.
Over the past 12 months, ALFA has been undergoing a restructure of its internal committees to improve efficiencies and open up opportunities for lot feeders external to the ALFA Board. The aim is to provide valuable input into ALFA discussions and provide an opportunity to enhance their executive skills in a committee setting.
Another ACC appointment to the ALFA committees is the ACC group communications specialist Susan Webster, who is serving on ALFA’s Community Engagement Committee.
